We're all such rebels

2012. A new year. Whats to come this year? Who knows. All I know is that today is just like any other day. Nothing has changed, except for the fact that I'll have to start writing 2012 on papers. I'm not going to change, as much as I say I want to work out more, I want to study more. Chances are, I'll be on my laptop eating snacks and using the internet to procrastinate. Who really changes anyway? Everyone is so caught up in the excitement of a new year so they make a resolution they most likely won't keep. But, it's not like it really matters if we keep it either. There aren't police men waiting at our houses ready to arrest us if we decide to scarf down a whole pizza, sneak a puff or make a ridiculous purchase. Plus, isn't it a great feeling to be a rebel and break your new years resolution? That intense rush when you do something you shouldn't be doing. In addition, New Years Day is the butt of resolution failures. Most of the time, when people wake up on January 1st <insert year here>, in their heads they'll say, "My resolution can wait until tomorrow." And that's where the rebelling chain begins. Life is about figuring out who you are and who you want to be. We shouldn't have to rely on a holiday to change ourselves. If you want to change yourself, you'll change yourself. But on a lighter note, happy new year and good luck with your hangover!
